“Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Jesus.” When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. What we need is boldness to preach the Gospel. There is a spirit of intimidation in the world that makes us afraid to preach the Gospel for fear of offending people.
Society has been programmed to be tolerant of everything such that you cannot call anything right or wrong without being accused of being intolerant. If you offend the mob, they will do their best to ‘cancel’ you. This is the kind of world we live in now.
Despite all these, receive boldness from God to preach the Gospel. Wherever the Gospel is boldly proclaimed, accompanying healings, signs, and wonders are sure to follow—this is God confirming His word and winning souls to His Kingdom. Evangelism is not just about preaching the word, but also showcasing God’s power. When either one is missing, it is incomplete.
